Latest Updates from Our Project:

We made it
over 5 years ago – Sun, Dec 02, 2018 at 11:16:58 PM

Dearest backers,

We have made it. We're over $20k and were closing to $22, but at last minute someone cancelled the pledge like a minute before campaign closing, leaving us a bit short of $22k.

We still believe that the story by Greg Stolze is that good that we will make it available at low cost add-on in the pledge manager.

Our whole team would like to thank you. We will likely open the pledge manager still before Christmas, if we can. Pledge manager stays open about 6-8 weeks after which it is the time for pre-orders only to remain open.

Do keep in mind that some items in pledge manager are restricted in quantity so it might be adviceable to do that soon, rather than push it by weeks or months.

We should all be proud of the achievement. This is yet a new campaign successfully done and it seems that we have ever growing amount of followers. Keeping in mind that this KS was for reproducing material that had once existed in some form, we can be really happy of the results.

Now we'll do a few days of EU warehouse maintenance and the start pushing the backerkit for this project.

- Timo & team

P.S. Do keep in mind that we STILL look for a few game testers who know PMAR/PMRE at least on modarate level.

Last 48 hours, German campaign and more!
over 5 years ago – Sat, Dec 01, 2018 at 01:40:55 PM

Dear backers,

We’re working relentlessly with Perdition’s Mouth: Revised edition fulfilment so that everyone would gain their games for Christmas. There will be a separate update for that, so I’ll keep that part very brief.

At the same time our game testing team is verifying the new Cannibal’s Howl scenarios. We’ve also confirmed that the fabled Jamie Noble will do the Cannibal’s Howl map(s), too. We will see those on first week of February 2019!

Spieleschmiede

I believe it’s important for everyone to keep in mind that we have a German campaign running too. It will have identical content to this (English) campaign, so every item unlocked here will make the same SG to be unlocked in Spieleschmiede. But it gets better than that, every euro over 2800€ base goal will mean $1 more of total funding in KS as long as the Kickstarter runs. Additions to the German campaign AFTER the Kickstarter ends will not change the content of either version of Cannibal’s Howl, but may unlock other (old, but not yet existing in German) content.

The last hours

We’ve gotten a lot of backers in last few days and many have asked if they can upgrade their pledges in the pledge manager. Sure, we will add all the material we have in the pledge manager and then it’s simply a matter of being faster than someone else who wants the same materials that have limited quantities. Keep in mind though that only the funds we receive during the active KS campaign will count towards unlocking more stretch goals.

We will also have a live stream in the last 90 minutes. Join us and lets make the last hours a rush!

Of Minis and Maps
over 5 years ago – Sat, Nov 17, 2018 at 02:49:55 PM

Today, we received a sample of the redesigned Mogba’gh miniature, which we thought we’d share with you. We’re really pleased with the extra level of detail that we’ve managed to achieve over the previous model. What do you think? This will come in three parts that need gluing (the base, figure and shield).

Since our last update, you’ve also unlocked another stretch goal! We’re really excited to see this one reached as it’s something slightly different from what we’ve done before. This is a new map which is unlike the map boards in the base game and boxed expansions. Instead, it will be produced on thinner A3 cardstock and folded to A5, the same size as the scenario and character sheets, so it won’t unduly affect either shipping costs or fitting content into your box!

This new map also provides something different, gameplay wise, from those that we’ve previously produced for Perdition’s Mouth: Abyssal Rift. For the first time, we’re venturing outside. This foreshadows some of the things you’ll see in Perdition’s Mouth: Soul Spire, which will be almost exclusively made up of outdoors scenarios, rather than a dank dungeon. This particular map is set in the forests of Mogba’gh’s home, providing a different backdrop to the audio track than you might have first expected.

We’re around US$1,000 shy of the next stretch goal right now, which is for another add-on - portcullis and lever miniatures. Like before, we can talk more about that when we get there - and we do think you’ll get there. It’s the weekend folks, spread the Perdition’s Mouth word to your friends and family.

We’ll be doing our bit to get word about the campaign out there - we’re at the Spielwiesn convention, in Munich, this weekend. If you’re going too then please do stop by our stand (3-A31) and say hello.

Five is the magic number
over 5 years ago – Wed, Nov 14, 2018 at 01:04:34 AM

385%! That’s how much we’ve funded in the first 48 hours. That’s amazing and it’s all thanks to you. We sailed past our funding goal in just over an hour and, since then, we’ve unlocked five different stretch goals. So, let’s talk about them for a bit, shall we?

You started off by adding two more scenarios to the expansion, doubling the number of adventures this adds to your game. Most recently, you’ve added another scenario, taking the total number up to five.

In between, you unlocked a thematic audio track. We created one of these before, for Perdition’s Mouth: Traitor Guard, and it was very popular. We’re really pleased to be able to produce a new one, to soundtrack Mogba’gh’s adventures. This will be included for every pledge of US$10 and over.

You also unlocked door and chest miniatures. These were something we made during the very first Perdition’s Mouth: Abyssal Rift campaign that proved very popular, with a lot of people buying extra sets to use in other games. Which is probably why we eventually sold out. A set gives you three doors and three treasure chests, to replace the tokens that ship in the normal game box. Since we first produced them, though, miniature production technology has improved. So we’ve taken the opportunity to redesign them. If you follow us on Twitter, you’ll already have seen this image, earlier today. If not this will be your first peek.

The door and chest minis are an add-on and will cost US$19. You can add them to your pledge in backerkit or you can top up your pledge by that amount now to help us unlock more stretch goals.

Speaking of the pledge levels, we made a minor error in the pledge descriptions - not one that materially affects you, but one we need to clarify. Perdition’s Mouth: Cannibal’s Howl includes a previous product - Mogba’gh. If you’re a returning backer then you’ll know that Mogba’gh was a hero that could be bought as a standalone expansion, with no content beyond the miniature, hero sheet and hero deck, that went out of print. When deciding to bring him back and make him available again we knew we wanted to show more of his world. Eventually, we decided on the name ‘Cannibal’s Howl’ for the expansion but the initial draft of the pledge levels remained. We never noticed that they still say ‘Mogba’gh kit’ instead of ‘Perdition’s Mouth: Cannibal’s Howl’ until it was too late too change. As you’re beginning to see, there’s a lot of new content in this expansion - like the door and chest set, even the miniature has been redesigned, to take advantage of manufacturing technology and provide more detail.

We’ve updated the campaign page with a more detailed list of what’s included with each pledge level and when things ship - note that all products we have in stock now (i.e. that are not being produced as part of this campaign) will ship as soon as the pledge manager closes. So you don’t have to wait for Cannibal’s Howl to be ready.

Oh, I mentioned Mogba’gh’s world, didn’t I? The eagle eyed among you will already have noticed that our next stretch goal is for a new map. This is something new for our expansions and will not be produced on thick board like the maps in the base game and big expansions. It’s pretty exciting, though, and takes us into Mogba’ghs lands. We’ll talk more about it when you unlock it.

In the meantime, do mention the campaign to your friends and talk about us on social media - the more people that know and that pledge the better for all of us. Speaking of which, if you have any German friends, we can now confirm that the Spieleschmiede campaign will launch next week.

Rocket launch!
over 5 years ago – Mon, Nov 12, 2018 at 12:49:06 AM

Wow, We're truly awed. Funding in 74 minutes, 3 first SGs in less than four hours. A great start for this journey.

What has been gained then?

  • Two new scenarios. David, Timo and Nikolas have been working hard to consider what devious plots we could think of next. We have been asked to approach this from the perspective of 1-2 player games, as that is where we have least existing content. We will also make some scenarios available with larger amount of players/heroes.
  • Doors & chest miniature kit. This 19$ add-on can (and should) be pledged for through this Kickstarter campaign. simply add 19$ to your pledge amount and we will sort out what the funds are for after the campaign. There will be no extra shipping charged for this add-on. We have remade the minis slightly, in similar fashion to the Mogba'gh miniature, to increase the level of detail to the maximum level that modern production techniques allow. The kit contains 3 pcs of chests and 3 pcs of doors, replacing the standard cardboard components.

Thank you! I hope you've noticed that a new map has also been revealed. It would be bringing you to the home of Mogba'gh - in warm desolate coastal area where cannibalism isn't just a myth. And where magic runs strong. This new map would be printed on thinner cardboard so that it can be folded into A5 size to fit into the Mogba'gh box. Using the "traditional" PMRE/PMAR cardboard maps would have made the package so heavy that shipping costs would have been at least doubled.

P.S. We WILL update the "What's included" tomorrow when our graphics guy is available.
